As a high school student, I had the opportunity to take a computer aided design class at the University of Vermont. The course was centered around Solidworks, the industry standard for CAD. I had the opportunity to model a functioning track bike as my final project. We explored everything from orthographic drawing to basic simulation and rendering. This was my first opportunity to sink my teeth into this type of design and expand my education beyond my standard high school classes.
